Dayton Police Department shares body cam video of officer-involved shooting

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — The Dayton Police Department (DPD) shared body camera video on Friday of the officer-involved shooting that happened on Thursday and gave more details about what led up to the shooting.

DPD Police Chief Kamran Afzal said officers were already in far West Dayton that borders Trotwood conducting a joint operation with other law enforcement agencies to reduce gun violence.

They were alerted by the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s (OSHP) aviation unit that a stolen vehicle from Warren County was in the area, which is when officers started to respond.
