Dayton woman makes 600th blood donation, saving countless lives

DAYTON, Ohio — At the Versiti Blood Center of Ohio in downtown Dayton, Judy Lamusga, a Beavercreek attorney and National Blood Donation Hall of Famer, marked a significant milestone by donating blood for the 600th time.

“It’s about saving a life. Your platelets are leaving here, going straight out into the world, to save a life. Why wouldn’t you make this a practice you want to do for the rest of your life?” Lamusga said.

Over the past 25 years, Lamusga has consistently felt the calling to donate blood platelets. She noted that each of her donations can help save the lives of three people, totaling 1,800 lives saved through her contributions…
