MIAMI COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — The Miami County Sheriff’s Office has been awarded nearly $300,000 to update body cameras and expand addiction services to inmates.

Sheriff Duchak said these upgrades, estimated at roughly $300,000 in state grant money, will be invaluable in protecting both criminals and deputies, as well as serving as great evidence in court. “We pay, as with all technology, you pay an annual maintenance fee for support and things like that. The technology takes a big chunk of law enforcement budgets anymore so if the state can keep helping us out, we’d be appreciative of that,” said Sheriff Duchak…
