MIAMI VALLEY, Ohio (WKEF) — Two men are facing charges after police say they led a high-speed chase, leading to multiple accidents on a busy highway in Dayton.
Prosecuting Attorney Matt Heck said that James Collins and Thomas Downey are facing the following charges:
- Failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer
- Obstructing official business
As previously covered, on June 5, Perry Township police tried to perform a traffic stop on a GMC pickup truck without license tags. Police said that the truck drove away from officers instead of following the officers’ requests.
Multiple agencies were then called for assistance, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) as the truck continued to lead a high-speed chase…
