Dayton, Ohio – Unhealthy air quality is expected to linger across the Miami Valley through midnight Monday, with ozone levels climbing high enough to trigger an extended Air Quality Alert for seven counties, including Dayton, Springfield, and Xenia.
According to the Miami Valley Regional Planning Commission and the Regional Air Pollution Control Agency, ground-level ozone may reach concentrations that pose health risks, especially for children, the elderly, and individuals with respiratory conditions. The alert covers Clark, Darke, Greene, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby counties until 11:59 p.m. Monday.
