Neighbor speaks out after stray bullets enter her kitchen

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — One neighbor is sharing her story after a man was shot inside of his home on Saturday, leaving many in the community on edge.

Rev. Daria Dillard Stone has lived in her home in Dayton’s Wesleyan Hills neighborhood for nearly 50 years. She spoke with 2 NEWS about the moments a slew of bullets injured her neighbor before entering her own home.

“Just 30 minutes ago, I was standing there, frying bacon and eggs,” said Stone. “And then I thought about, had I been standing here, that would have been my head.”
