Libraries preparing for funding cuts following passage of state budget

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Libraries across Ohio are bracing for major cuts to their funding after the annual state budget significantly reduced their financial support.

2 NEWS spoke with both small and large library systems within the Miami Valley about the impact this loss of funding will have.

Stephanie Rostron is the director of the Piqua Public Library. She says this decision to cut funding will not just hurt the public libraries, but Ohio citizens as well.
