West Dayton public hospital efforts face city commission

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — An effort to build a public hospital is moving forward, but before the issue goes to voters, the decision is in the hands of the Dayton City Commission.

Many local people depended on the services of the Good Samaritan Hospital in West Dayton, and they still feel the impact since its closing in 2018.

The Clergy Community Coalition is working to bring a new hospital back to the community, having collected enough signatures for a citizen-initiated ballot issue.
