CINCINNATI (WKRC) – The Food Safety and Inspection Service recalled tens of thousands of pounds of sausage after it learned the product could potentially contain plastic shards.
Kayem Foods Inc. reportedly recalled 24,173 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken sausage after it received three customer complaints citing “white pieces of plastic in the chicken sausage products.”
The specific product recalled was 11 ounce vacuum-packed packages containing four pieces of “ALL NATURAL al fresco CHICKEN SAUSAGE SWEET APPLE with Vermont made syrup” with lot code 179 and “USE/FRZ BY” date “OCT 01 2025” printed on the back package label…
