‘A radio pioneer:’ Founder of WEBN dies at 83

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — The founder of a popular southwest Ohio radio station has died.

On Tuesday, July 29, Cincinnati-based rock station WEBN announced its founder, Frank E. “Bo” Wood III, died at age 83. According to the post, Wood had Alzheimer’s disease.

Aside from being the “founding father” of the radio station with his father, Wood also had the idea to create the Western & Southern/WEBN fireworks display, which now draws thousands to the Queen City…
