Dayton Tenant Union asking city for a housing trust fund

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — The Dayton Tenant Union is urging city leaders to dedicate money to help renters. Members showed up to last week’s city commission meeting and tonight’s to speak during public comment. They are asking the city to start a housing trust fund.

Larry Hayden, a Dayton Tenant Union board member said the fund could help with things like access to counsel for evictions, rental assistance, a rental registry and repairs.
