Chase in Greene County ends in arrest; man faces up to 21.5 years in prison

GREENE COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — A man learned his fate two years after officials said he led a multi-jurisdictional high-speed chase, which caused heavy damage, and a trooper was nearly hit by his car.

According to the Greene County Prosecuting Attorney, David Hayes, a Grand Jury found Adam Hayes, 39, guilty of the following offenses:

  • Felonious Assault (first-degree felony)
  • Failure to Comply with the Order or Signal of a Police Officer (third-degree felony)
  • One count of Obstructing Official Business (fifth-degree felony)
  • One count of Vandalism (fifth-degree felony)

According to court documents, Hayes was acquitted on a second charge of Felonious Assault.
