Suspect Wanted In Kentucky Found In Ohio Sewer After Police Chase, Shelter-In-Place

A pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Ohio, driven by alleged armed robbers wanted in Kentucky, prompted a shelter-in-place order Monday that ended when the driver was found hiding in a sewer, officials said.

The Springboro Police Department said an officer spotted a stolen white Toyota Sienna traveling on State Route 741 near Pennyroyal Road at around 8:47 a.m. Monday and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled, however, prompting a pursuit that was joined by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect vehicle entered I-675 northbound and exited onto State Route 725 before crashing at the intersection of SR 725 and Paragon Road. Two occupants fled on foot, but the passenger was apprehended at the scene…
