DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A family-run business in north Dayton is offering a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for Miami Valley teachers and readers.
Located on Webster Street, the Dollar Book Swap may not look like your typical bookstore.
“We are in a dusty warehouse,” said Missy Nickels, manager. “When you come in, you’ll see fork trucks. It’s a working warehouse, but that affords us to keep our prices so low.”
The Dollar Book Swap purchases books from all over the country and sorts them in the same building as their storefront. Approximately 5 percent of books go to eBay and Amazon, but everything else goes on store shelves for just $1.25…
