Shelby County deputies confiscate drugs from Dayton men during interstate traffic stop

SHELBY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies and K-9s made a traffic stop Thursday on Interstate-75, near the 99-mile marker.

According to a statement from the sheriff’s office, a K9 was used to conduct a “free-air” sniff around the stopped vehicle. The dog signaled there was a presence of illegal narcotics, which SCSO said prompted a probable cause search.

Authorities said two men from Dayton, Aaron Kreutzer and Michael Jergens-Kreutzer, were in the vehicle. Deputies stated a search revealed a large bag with suspected marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms, as well as a box with several THC vapes.
