Kettering Health offers free hand surgeries for uninsured residents

DAYTON, Ohio — Hospital system Kettering Health is once again offering hand surgeries for uninsured Dayton residents, otherwise known as “Hand Day.”

What You Need To Know

  • To be eligible, residents with no health insurance must exhibit some symptoms
  • All candidates must have a one-on-one consultation before Sept. 28
  • All surgeries will take place Oct. 5

Applications are open, and to be eligible, candidates who don’t have medical insurance must be experiencing the following symptoms:

  • Numbness or tingling in the hands or fingers
  • Fingers that get “stuck” or are difficult to move
  • Painful lumps or bumps in the hand or wrist
