‘Roots run deep:’ Speedway plans Dayton location, talks community importance

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A convenience store chain giant is looking to build its next area location in Dayton.

According to permits, Speedway is looking to build a new location in the 1900 block of Stanley Avenue, located in the city’s McCook Field neighborhood. Permits show the new location would include a Raise the Roost location.

Currently, Raise the Roost’s nearest location to the region is 213 N. Urbana St. in South Vienna. The restaurant’s website explains it serves patrons “high-quality” and “made-from-scratch” chicken that’s at a lower cost than other fried chicken chains.
