36-year-old man killed in fiery crash on busy state route

A 36-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a semi in Greene County on Monday.

Around 2:45 p.m., Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers were called to a crash involving a car and a semi on State Route 71 and Plymouth Road.

An early investigation found that a semi-trailer was going westbound on Plymouth Road when the driver went through the intersection, and a southbound vehicle on SR-72 hit the semi near the rear axle, according to Lt. Joseph Weeks with OSP.

The semi failed to yield the right of way from the stop sign at the intersection…
