Dayton man indicted for shooting landscaper over grass clippings

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A 36-year-old man from Dayton has been indicted for the fatal shooting of a 22-year-old Eaton man that occurred in September.

On the morning of Thursday, Sept. 18, Dayton police officers were dispatched to a shooting on Indiana Avenue. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Tanner Staggs, who had been with co-workers from Dunham’s Landscaping doing work at a nearby residence.

Staggs was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries.
