New health facility opens in Dayton

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – AbsoluteCare celebrated its official ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on Wednesday, Oct. 29.

AbsoluteCare has a unique model that combines primary care, mental and behavioral health, and critical social support, including food, housing, and transportation.

CareSource and AbsoluteCare have launched this model in five Ohio cities, now including Dayton, to serve Medicaid members facing complex challenges. The model aims to support people managing chronic conditions, medications, and significant life barriers.

“These are people that may not have a stable roof over their head, may not know where their next meal is coming from, may not have shoes or even a cell phone to be able to interact with the rest of the world,” said Mike Radu, the CEO of AbsoluteCare. “We welcome them here into our center, we come into places they live, we’ll even go into the hospital if they go there.”…
