Residents protest, voice concerns regarding billion-dollar AI data center

TRENTON, Ohio — As artificial intelligence data centers continue to spring up across Ohio, promising jobs and economic growth, a new billion-dollar project just north of Cincinnati is stirring controversy among residents who fear they’ll bear the financial burden.

Construction is already underway on a $30 million development in Trenton that includes a new YMCA, city hall, police department, retail space and roughly 200 new homes. City leaders say the project, called Trenton Square, marks a major step forward for the community.
