One person arrested after making bomb threat in Ohio

OHIO — A Huber Heights man was taken into custody Wednesday after allegedly making a bomb threat in a residential neighborhood, according to the Huber Heights Police Department.

Officers were dispatched to the 6700 block of Barbara Drive shortly after 11 a.m. when the city’s communications center received a report of a man claiming he was wearing a bomb. Police located the suspect inside his home at 6720 Barbara Drive.

Detectives obtained a search warrant, and both the Regional Emergency Response Team and the Dayton Bomb Squad were called to assist. As a precaution, nearby homes were evacuated while the bomb squad’s robot conducted a sweep of the residence…
