Montgomery County takes over investigation into Delaware County judge allegations

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is now handling the investigation into allegations that a Delaware County judge pressured an assistant county prosecutor for sex.

According to a copy of the case file obtained from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, the assistant prosecutor alleges that Judge James Schuck forced her to engage in sexual acts in his chambers in May. The file also confirms previous reporting that Schuck sent her “tens of thousands” of messages via Snapchat.

Montgomery County is taking over the case to avoid any appearance of a conflict of interest. Schuck has taken a voluntary leave of absence amid the investigation and has not been charged with any crime…
