Repeat offender arrested for alleged 6th OVI in Springfield

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A 47-year-old man with 5 OVI offenses was arrested in Springfield after allegedly driving impaired again.

According to the Springfield Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a state trooper stopped his vehicle for speeding at approximately 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6.

The official alleges the 47-year-old man from Springfield showed signs of impairment during the traffic stop. Troopers said they located an alcoholic mixed drink in the cup holder.
