DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – There was an honorary street renaming this weekend for a living West Dayton icon.
The Dayton Equity Center and McKinley United Methodist Church partnered together on Saturday to honor Raymond Hummons Sr., who has served the community for over eight decades.
The ceremony took place on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 11 am to 12 pm at 196 Hawthorn Street. The city of Dayton Commission recently approved Fitch Street, the short street adjacent to McKinley United, to be designated as “Raymond Hummons Way”.
