Local judge deliberates on deportation of El Salvadoran acquitted of murder

BUTLER COUNTY, Ohio (WKRC) – A federal immigration judge is deliberating the fate of Salvador Hernandez Solorzano, an El Salvadoran immigrant who was acquitted of murder in his home country but is now facing deportation from the United States.

Solorzano was arrested by ICE agents in Butler County in April after entering the U.S. in late 2023 and applying for political asylum. He’s accused of being a member of the MS-13 gang and wanted on murder charges in El Salvador.
