When Pickle was brought to the Humane Society of Greater Dayton in Ohio, the staff were stunned into silence by her condition. The little pup was scared, barely responsive, and completely still.
She couldn’t move her body or even raise her head, and in that moment, it felt as though hope itself had nearly slipped away from her.
Pickle was brought in alongside two other dogs, believed to be her siblings. Holly Renee, a technician at the shelter said in an interview:
“The siblings were healthy and fine, but Pickle was unable to move, vocalize, or eat. We don’t know anything about her life before.”…
