DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – Two local hospitals are celebrating their first babies of 2026 on New Year’s Day.
The first baby born at The Christ Hospital Health Network in Cincinnati was Balance (last name not shared), a minute after midnight. He is 6 pounds, 4 ounces, and is the son of a first-time mom, Ari.
The first baby born at Atrium Medical Center Natural Beginnings in Middletown was Koah Murray, at 12:24 a.m. He is the second son of Kaniya Murray and Andre Murray Jr. from Mason. It is the only natural birth center in the greater Cincinnati area.
Dayton nonprofit hosts New Year’s Day gathering
The first baby born at Kettering Health’s Washington Twp. location was Ali Kasim at 1:55 a.m. He weighs 7 pounds, 5.5 ounces, and is 20.5 inches long. Ali is the son of Sitora Kamolova and Bobur Mukhamedjanov.
“Sitora was scheduled to have an induction next week, but baby Ali decided to make his grand appearance early on New Year’s Day instead,” wrote Kettering Health.
Lastly, Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton had a very busy start to the year and has welcomed approximately 11 babies between midnight and 2 p.m. on Jan. 1…
