Fighting Senate Bill 56 a matter of financial life or death for some Ohio businesses

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Stores across the state are bracing and fighting back against Ohio Senate Bill 56, arguing it undermines what Ohio voters approved in the 2023 referendum.

After being introduced in February, the bill was signed into law by Gov. Mike DeWine on Dec. 19. It will go into effect in March.

The law looks to further regulate CBD and cannabis products, making it illegal to sell the CBD products from general retail stores.
