Franklin, Ohio, police apprehended two suspects early Sunday following a high-speed chase on Interstate 75 involving a black Dodge Charger reported stolen. Local 12 reported that the chase commenced after officers attempted to stop the vehicle near the 36-mile marker, but were led on a pursuit when the driver chose to quickly speed away.
The pursuit was brought to an end when officers executed a PIT maneuver to safely disable the car. The tactical intervention was conducted without causing any injuries, a method that Franklin police have successfully used to stop fleeing vehicles. The operation concluded with both occupants being taken into custody, as noted by the report from Cleveland 19.
According to the Franklin, Ohio Division of Police, the driver, identified as Armone Kinney, is being charged with “Failure to Comply, Felony 3, Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 4,” as reported by Cleveland 19, and is currently facing an active arrest warrant for homicide issued by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The passenger, Sha’Quan Barker, is facing a charge of “Receiving Stolen Property, Felony 4,” along with an active warrant for aggravated robbery.
