Neal Johnson, a parent of a child in the Springfield schools district, said he and his wife, Samantha, have been able to get their son to school so far — though it hasn’t been easy.
“I am off work today, so I am able to drop him off and pick him up,” Mr. Johnson said Friday. “My wife handled the first couple of days driving, and I feel sorry for her. They keep changing schedules around. Traffic is horrible, and many of the schools are not set up for every parent to drop and pick up kids.”
