DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) – A young Preble County man is facing charges, including attempted murder, after allegedly stabbing a man multiple times on his birthday on Friday, Jan. 9.
According to the Eaton Municipal Court documents, the stabbing happened in the 200 block of Walnut Street in the morning.
Officers found and attempted to take the newly 22-year-old Gabriel Alex Daniels into custody. They said he fought with them. Once he was taken, crews gave first aid to the person who was stabbed. They alleged Daniels had stabbed him.

Daniels is facing the following charges:
- Attempted murder. (First-degree felony.)
- Two counts of felonious assault. (Second-degree felonies.)
- Resisting arrest. (Second-degree misdemeanor.)
The affiant against him alleges, “Once Daniels was taken into custody, officers rendered aid to [redacted] who, as the investigation would reveal, had been stabbed multiple times by Daniels. [Redacted] and the victim indicated that [redacted] was conversing with Daniels about the condition of his apartment and that it needed to be cleaned. Without saying anything, Daniels went to a display of bayonet-style knives hanging on the wall, retrieved one, and began stabbing [redacted]. Daniels stabbed [redacted] three times before turning his attention to his aunt, [redacted]. When Daniels approached [redacted], she was able to get him to drop the knife and retreat to the kitchen area. [Redacted] then called 911.”…
