A young man from Georgia lost his life in a traffic incident that occurred in the pre-dawn hours on Ohio’s Interstate 71. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that Charles Watkins, a 23-year-old from La Fayette, Georgia, was operating a 2023 Honda CRV heading northbound when the vehicle veered off the road and overturned multiple times. The accident took place near the Morrow-Lebanon exit in Turtle Creek Township, as reported by FOX19.
The crash, which occurred around 4 a.m., had fatal consequences for Watkins. After being ejected from the vehicle, he landed in the southbound lane and was pronounced dead at the scene, as confirmed by WLWT. Authorities indicated that he was the sole occupant of the car and that he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident. A determination on whether drugs or alcohol were involved has not been made yet.
