Tri-State school district to cut 153 positions, close school amid $9.6M budget shortfall

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC) – Hamilton City Schools is set to eliminate more than 150 positions as part of a plan to save nearly $10 million from its budget.

The district will outsource its preschool program to the Butler County Education Service Center, close an elementary school, and redistribute students to neighboring schools. Freshmen will be moved to the high school, creating a single campus for grades nine through 12.
