Local man set to spend over 2 years in prison after Downtown Dayton vandalism

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — A 60-year-old man is set to spend over two years in prison after being found responsible for a string of vandalism in August 2025.

According to the Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney, Mat Heck, police were sent to the 100 block of West First Street after receiving alarms for a broken window on Aug. 12, 2025. When police arrived, it was reported that police found a trail of blood, leading to Mark Arden, 60, who officers said was severely cut after breaking the window.
