***WINTER STORM WARNING FOR THE ENTIRE MIAMI VALLEY UNTIL NOON MONDAY***
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — A potential record-setting winter storm is now on the doorstep of the Miami Valley. Light snow began falling early Saturday evening. While the snow will be light through midnight–1″ or less–it will become heavy overnight. 4″ to 8″+ will be on the ground by daybreak and we’re just getting started.
Heavy snow will continue throughout the day with 7″ to 11″ on the ground by noon. An additional 4″+ of snow will fall during the afternoon before ending around 7pm. Total storm accumulation across the Miami Valley will range from 12″ to 16″ with only northern Darke, Mercer, Auglaize and northen Logan County coming in with a little less–around 9″ to 11″. A narrow band of extremely heavy snow is expected to set up somewhere south of I-70 that may bring in excess of 16″ to a few spots…
