Dayton man receives 240-month sentence after violent armed robbery spree across six Ohio cities

Dayton, Ohio – In a sweeping federal case that spanned multiple cities and counties, a Dayton man has been sentenced to 240 months—equivalent to 20 years—in prison for a violent robbery spree that terrorized southwest Ohio in December 2024.

According to court documents and law enforcement officials, 44-year-old Timothy Farr carried out 12 armed robberies at gas stations, convenience stores, and drive-thru locations over a 13-day period. The robberies were carried out in a similar fashion, with Farr wearing dark clothing, gray two-tone gloves, and often a black balaclava or N-95 style mask to conceal his identity. In each incident, he brandished a black firearm, demanding cash and cigarettes from store employees.

“As the crime spree progressed,” prosecutors stated, “the defendant became more aggressive with his verbal commands to store clerk victims and his use of the firearm.”…
