The Champaign County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information regarding the incident on Dolly Varden Road.
Following further investigation, authorities have identified the deceased as Scott Thuma, 60, of Springfield, Ohio. Investigators determined the death was the result of a self-inflicted injury. Deputies located a firearm at the scene during the investigation.
