Local man sentenced in connection to pregnant woman found dead in bin

HAMILTON, Ohio (WKRC)- A Butler County man was sentenced for his role in the death and disposal of a woman whose body was found in a plastic bin last year.

James Rothenbusch pleaded guilty to complicity to tampering with evidence. Butler County Common Pleas Judge James Spaeth sentenced him to 30 months in prison.

The bin was discovered by walkers in Montgomery County in August. Authorities said the lid had been sealed with screws. Investigators later identified the woman as Brittany Fuhr-Storms, 28. An autopsy determined she was pregnant at the time of her death.

Authorities said Fuhr-Storms died in Rothenbusch’s Middletown home “under suspicious circumstances.” Rothenbusch told investigators her body remained in the home for about four days before it was placed in the bin and discarded…
