Montgomery County voters to decide on nearly $14M in property tax levies

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ohio (WKEF) — Voters will decide this May on nearly $14 million in annual funding on property tax levies. Montgomery County’s auditor says voters have a lot to decide on.

If all are approved, the levies would generate $11.8 million in new annual funding for local jurisdictions and renew $2 million in existing yearly revenue.

“It’s a lot. This is the most we’ve had on a ballot at one time since before the pandemic,” said Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith. “I think you have to go back to 2019. We had 14 levies on the primary ballot and another 14 levies on the general election ballot. This is the most we’ve had at one time.”…
