Montgomery County High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest and Weapons Charges for Demetric Hagler Sr.

An early morning pursuit on West Hillcrest Avenue in Montgomery County ended in an arrest after a harrowing crash. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Dayton Ohio relayed the events via a social media post, detailing the February 10 incident that occurred at 2:17 a.m. when a deputy spotted a gold Chevrolet Impala driving erratically, straddling the center of the roadway.

Upon attempting to initiate a traffic stop, with emergency lights flashing, a deputy was led on a high-speed chase as the driver, Demetric Hagler Sr., chose to accelerate away. Speeding at roughly 75 miles per hour in a 35 mile-per-hour zone, Hagler lost control of the vehicle.
