Franklin expands to include Camp Chautauqua

FRANKLIN, Ohio (WKEF) — The city of Franklin expands into Camp Chautauqua through mutual agreement to share community assets and bring the area into city limits.

Camp Chautauqua is a historic institution on 36.073 acres serving youth, families, churches, schools, and organizations across Southwest Ohio. The city of Franklin says that the type 2 annexation was approved within a month as it formalizes the already strong relationship between the Camp and Franklin.

Camp Chautauqua says they have historically brought in more than 20,000 guests annually with summer camps, retreats, conferences, and other events.
