‘Marketplace’ opens at Dayton Arcade

DAYTON, Ohio (WKEF) — The Dayton Arcade Marketplace is now open, and the ribbon-cutting event welcomed in new businesses on Friday as Dayton continues to be revitalized.

The final piece of the Arcade is open and ready for business. Small businesses have moved into what is called the ‘Marketplace,’ and they welcomed their first customers to see what things are like.

“We are encouraging people to come out, shop downtown,” Dayton Mayor Shenise Turner-Sloss said. “This space has not been activated since the 1980s, and to see all of the work, all of the innovation and the hard work, the perseverance pay off is truly inspiring, and it is exciting.”…
