MIDDLETOWN, Ohio. (WXIX/Gray News) – A police officer in Ohio is accused of allowing a teen who was handcuffed to be whipped by their stepfather, according to prosecutors.
Middletown police officer Jamie Patterson faces two misdemeanor charges of dereliction of duty. The charges allege she recklessly and negligently failed to provide for the safety of an arrestee, according to the prosecutor’s office.
