Firefighters safe after ceiling collapse, distress call in New Lebanon

NEW LEBANON, Ohio (WDTN) — First responders from several jurisdictions were called to a fire Monday afternoon in New Lebanon.

According to the New Lebanon Police Department, firefighters were dispatched just before 2 p.m. to the 400 block of Thornapple Road.

The New Lebanon fire chief told our 2 NEWS crew at the scene a ceiling of a structure collapsed, trapping a couple of firefighters, prompting a distress call.

Our crew reported being told that the firefighters were freed and went back to work…
