A Dayton man will spend more than a decade behind bars after a failed attempt to ship a massive stash of narcotics through the U.S. mail.

Kuron Evans, 47, received a 130-month federal prison sentence this week for his role in a drug conspiracy that stretched from the neon lights of Las Vegas back to the streets of Ohio.

The legal saga began in January 2024 when Evans walked into a Las Vegas post office with a package destined for Trotwood, Ohio. To cover his tracks, Evans used fake names for both the sender and the recipient, but the ruse didn’t fool investigators…
