7 kids, 14 dogs taken from Wroe Avenue home as part of investigation

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — More than a half-dozen juveniles were taken from a Five Oaks home and two adults arrested as part of a Dayton Police investigation into alleged child abuse.

During a press briefing Wednesday, Dayton Police Lt. Eric Sheldon gave a timeline of the events that led to the children being removed and arrests being made.

According to Sheldon, officers were first sent to the home on Wroe Avenue around 7 p.m. Monday for a check-welfare request from the father of a 15-year-old girl who lived there. The father made the request based on things his daughter had told him about potential abuse…
