Dayton International Airport: Safe landing after alert 2

DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Crews were en route to Dayton International Airport for a reported incident after an alert 2 was called at approximately 1:20 p.m.

Alert 2s are called when a pilot indicates there is a significant malfunction with their aircraft, which might affect the operation / control of it. This puts the rescue units on standby. Typically, once it lands, they will follow it to the gate.

The airport media relations specialist told 2 NEWS, thankfully, at approximately 1:35 p.m., the aircraft had landed safely.
