DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — A groundbreaking will be held Thursday morning for a new retail development coming to Candler Road in DeKalb County.
The almost-$30 million Candler Crossing development will be located near the intersection with Glenwood Road. The county says it will feature a more than 50,000 square foot Publix, multi-tenant retail building and “pedestrian-focused community amenities designed to serve South DeKalb residents for generations to come.”
The community amenities will include a “hardscape plaza and green space, walking trail, pedestrian improvements and a renovated MARTA bus stop.” Some of the retail space will also be reserved as affordable space for local businesses at 60% of market rent for the first five years…
