ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Three people, including two Rockdale County sheriff’s deputies, have filed a lawsuit against BioLab over the 2024 chemical fire at its Conyers facility, claiming they’re suffering serious health problems because of the incident.
In late September 2024, a fire at the BioLab pool-chemical manufacturing facility in Conyers produced a large chemical plume that drifted across parts of metro Atlanta, triggering public safety actions and a prolonged cleanup.
Roughly 17,000 people near the facility had to be evacuated, and tens of thousands of others were ordered to shelter in place for several days…
